The rest of the world has been buzzing about French born, Berlin based illustrator Blexbolex for some time, but I only recently got my hands on one of his books. A screen-printer by training, Blexbolex has an amazing nack for simple yet beautiful illustrations that appeal to children and adults alike. ‘People’, translated from the original French ‘L’Imagier Des Gens’, is my new favourite book and one you should look out for. Each spread features two seemingly opposing people, yet connections become apparent with a bit of thought. It’s a smart, funny and stunning book, and I highly recommend thumbing through it (or obsessing over every minute detail… whichever suits you best). If you like ‘People’ you’ll probably enjoy ‘Praia-Mar’ by Bernardo Carvalho. Take a peek!
