Made from mirrored boxes and a pile of dirt, Khao Mo (Mythical Escapism) is a sanctuary installation designed by Sanitas Studio, a Landscape and Art studio based in Bangkok, Thailand. Inspired by social context and cultural research, the Thai studio explores the boundaries between landscape architecture and fine art, through forms of art installations and sculptures. With Khao Mao, their intent was to create a space for the audience to reflect on one’s thoughts without any distractions from the outside world. Reacting differently through different contexts and surroundings, the artwork creates new experiences for the individual as they escape reality and explore the realm of self-discovery.

Here’s the installation on display at Chulalongkorn University and Siam square in city center of Bangkok, Thailand. It’s quite mesmerizing.
